# Billing

> How Lindy Teammate is priced: a seat for each person, a free week for new teammates, and one pool of credits your whole team shares.

Lindy Teammate is priced per person. Each teammate gets a seat, and your whole team draws from one shared pool of credits. New teammates who join through Slack get their first week free.

## How someone becomes a seat

A person takes a paid seat when they:

* Sign up to Lindy directly
* Join your workspace by signing up
* @mention Lindy in your team's Slack for the first time

  The free week applies to the Slack path. Direct signups and people who join by signing up are billed right away.

### The Slack trial

1. Someone new @mentions Lindy in Slack.
2. Lindy sets up an account for them under your workspace.
3. Every admin gets an email: who joined, that they're free for a week, and a one-click link to remove them.
4. The new teammate gets a Slack DM to finish setting up their own Lindy.
5. Remove someone's seat and, if they @mention Lindy again, it tells them it can't help and pings an admin. It won't quietly re-add them.

A seat stays billed until an admin removes it. You keep it through the end of the current cycle, with no mid-cycle proration.

## Your shared credit pool

Credits belong to the workspace, not to each person. The pool adds up:

* Your base plan's credits
* Each teammate's seat (a Plus seat adds 3,000, a Pro seat 15,000, and so on)
* Any top-ups an admin buys

### Spend caps

Admins can cap any one teammate's draw from the pool. Hit the cap and Lindy pauses that person's credit-using actions, with a clear message, until the next cycle or a higher cap. Leave it unset for unlimited draw.

### Top-ups

Admins can buy extra workspace credits any time, apart from seats: **\$10 per 1,000 credits**, in 1,000-credit blocks. Top-ups are a one-time buy and never touch your base plan's credits.

## What every plan gets

Every plan, trial seats included, gets all models. There's no upsell wall on model choice.

A few things depend on your plan:

* SSO, SCIM, audit logs, and HIPAA/BAA on Enterprise
* Live onboarding on Pro and up
* Connected inboxes: 2 on Plus, 3 on Pro, 5 on Max
